BBC Radio 1 favourite Chris Stark is fast becoming one of our most popular DJ’s, DJ’ing nights all over the UK on a weekly basis.

Best known from BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills Show and E4’s Virtually Famous, his interviews have become legendary. The guy that spits water over celebrities on a weekly basis, Chris is the one who is up for anything!

Chris started his career in broadcast working in hospital radio before going on to have his own student radio show at Southampton University’s station whilst studying there. After several jobs at other radio stations, he joined BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills Show in 2012 as a regular host, weekdays 1-4pm.

This has led to no end of memorable moments; from riding the Liverpool Wheel half naked, to spitting water over celebrities (such as Will Ferrell, Gerard Butler and Max Branning) in Innuendo Bingo. From being punched by boxing heavyweight champ David Haye to THAT interview with Mila Kunis, where Chris asked her for a date to the football. (She said yes!)

Whilst at Radio 1 he has hosted the iPLayer show ‘ICYMI” – a round of the week’s highlights on R1 and R1Xtra, presented a number of Radio 1 documentaries, and famously had his autobiography, “24 Years at the Tap End” serialised on the station.

After his interview with Holywood A-Listers Mila Kunis (13,000,000 views) and Jennifer Aniston (over 5,000,000) went viral, 2014 saw Chris presenting his own show for Channel 4, “Celeb Hunter: 2 Chairs, 1 Chat” where Chris went around the country with two fishing chairs meeting and interviewing celebrities.

Not long after this, Chris was approached to become the resident team captain on E4’s brand new show, “Virtually Famous”. This has run on Channel 4 and E4 for three series so far. Before starting at BBC Radio 1, Chris was resident DJ at several clubs around the UK, and is now playing sets to thousands of students, farmers and everyone that wants to party each week.
